Happy Birthday Jonmichael!

Yesterday was Jonmichael's twelth birthday. He is growing up way TOO FAST. He is officially in the youth group, junior high, and not in kids church anymore. Mom has had a hard time with this. He woke up yesterday looking six inches taller, and acting more mature. Blake was upset that he acted older at church! LOL. He is growing up. He gets to go to the SFC blitz lock-in in Lufkin this month, and I asked Carl if we had to be in Lufkin for anything on that day. He said "You gotta let him grow." Ok, I guess that is true, but it SURE IS HARD. Thankfully, we have a wonderful set of youth workers that I trust totally. But, let's just say I won't sleep good that night.

Jonmichael is a wonderful young man. Always thoughtful, obediant, and I am thankful that God has blessed me with him. He is wonderful big brother, son,and a
greatleader. Happy Birthday, Jonbo. We are proud of you, and your MOM LOVES YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!

Beavers Bend State Park

We just returned from our vacation at Beavers Bend State Park. We had a ball. My WHOLE family went, and it was SO MUCH FUN! We had my family, my mom and dad, My sister and her family, both of my cousins (Paul and Alisha Bell, and Dean, Karen and Anna Bussey), and my Aunt Charla and Uncle Tony. We had twenty three people in our group. Of course my Mom and Dad live in Euless, my sister and brother-in-law pastor in Grand Prairie, Texas. My cousin Paul and Alisha pastor in Price, Texas, along with my Aunt Charla and Uncle Tony Lewis. My cousin Karen and Dean live in Longview and attend Bro. A.D. Spears church.

There are six little cousins. Jenna (almost 7), Rachel (7), Anna Bussey (7), Blake (9), Jacob (11), and Jonmichael (12). They were so much fun to watch. The girls ran until they dropped. Jenna and Anna are daredevils. I really had to watch them because they would do anything, touch anything. Rachel (my niece) is a little more cautious. Just like her auntie!

We fished, kayaked, rode the train, bumper boats, paddle boats, played a three hour game of phase ten, ate, ate, ate, talked, talked, talked, fished some more....etc.... Nothing like being with family.

They had a nature center for the girls to make crafts. Of course the day we went they were making Indian bead things. You could choose key chains, necklaces, etc. so the girls being pentecostal made enough jewelry to make an Indian princess look poor. Ha. They had necklaces, bracelet's, rings. Of course they will pray through and get rid of it. My cousin Karen worked very hard on a key chain. She is craft challenged and very proud that she finished. I know it was the highlight of the week for her. I had to help her alot. She could not figure out how to put the beads on the string. LOL! I took a pic of her with the finished product. Ha.

After the craft, the girls wanted to go into the nature center and look at the animals. Karen told me there were snakes in there, so I wanted outside while she took the girls. I DON'T DO SNAKES. In a cage, in a book, whatever. I was standing there talking to a park ranger when another ranger walked out with a bowl of water he was about to empty. He asked the girls if they would like to hold a snake, and I thought he had a snake in the bowl. I threw everything, dropped my purse, and ran screaming as loud as I could. My cousins fell on the floor laughing as the startled park ranger jumped. He could not figure out why I was so screaming over a bowl of water. I cleared the parking lot in two seconds flat. Didn't know this body could MOVE. After the whole park came running to see what was wrong with the crazy lady, and Karen stopped laughing (took her five minutes). She explained why I was screaming. I thought he had the snake in the bowl. They took the girls to a safe place FAR away from me, and Jenna and Anna held the snake. Rachel was smart and came to the parking lot with me. That was my last visit to the nature center.

It is so wonderful to be with your family. We just relaxed and enjoyed being with each other.

We also celebrated my Uncle Tony's 69 th birthday, and my Dad's 70th birthday. They were on the same day. I Love my Dad so much. He has always been a rock to me. He is a wonderful grandfather, Father and Pastor. I don't know what I would do without him. People always think he is very serious, but he is a jokester. I definitely get my sense of humor from him. I am thankful we got to spend his birthday all together.

This will be a trip I will never forget. The slide show is a little lengthy, but I took over 120 pictures. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Awesome Weekend

What a great day we had yesterday. The Lord really met with us both services. Yesterday morning, the spirit of the Lord was so strong and two received the Holy Ghost and were baptized. Thank the Lord. We have really been having revival in Euless. We took the summer off of all music and took the practice time to have family prayer. Our theme this summer was back to the basics. God has really blessed the sacrifice.

Last night, we had the Elms with us in service. They are some of our favorite people. They really blessed our church with the preaching and singing. Bro. Elms spoke on cutting corners, and it was powerful. I also enjoy hearing Sis. Elms sing. Everytime she sings, you can just feel something.

Great weekend of fellowship, and so many good things happening. We are leaving tomorrow to go on vacation with our family. We have never done this, but we are going with my parents, brother-in-law and sis (plus nieces and nephew), cousins and their families, and aunt and uncle. So it will be a BIG family vacation. We are going to beavers bend state park. I WILL be staying in a rented house. (Can't rough it too much). But we will have a great time.

Love all of you!
